Mohit Suri’s film “Ek Villain Returns” ends its first week with Rs 32 crore at the box office, it is similar to what Shamshera had earned in its first weekend. However, Ranbir’s big ticket was a much-anticipated film of the year and the expectations were high from the flick.
On the other, John Abraham-Arjun Kapoor fronted first week collections will be considered decent as there were no such hopes from the film given the actor’s were suffering from a series of flops.
Heading for 45-50 Cr lifetime
EVR now has 5 days open run till Wednesday to perform at the box office until Raksha Bandhan and Laal Singh Chaddha arrive on Aug 11. A decent growth over the second weekend will take its total collection in the vicinity of Rs 40 Cr. The Moharram will help its biz to grow around 1-2 crore, it is set to close its lifetime with Rs 45-50 Cr.

Box Office Collection Day 8
The film saw growth during the afternoon shows on Thursday as compared to the Wednesday occupancy report, as per sacnilk.com. The film had an 8.06% occupancy on Friday which is a 0.25% growth as compared to Thursday. As per the trade estimation, it collects Rs 1.2-1.8 Cr on Friday.

Box Office Collection (Week-1)
The film had a decent first weekend, it showed an above-par performance at the box office on its first day and saw slight growth during the weekend. The 1st-weekend collections of it stood at Rs 23.54 Cr. It saw a major dip in the collection on its first Monday the drop was 66.52%, it holds well on Tue and again saw drops of around 20% on Wed and Thu.
However, the total collection of “Ek Villain Returns” stands at Rs 33.92 crore which will be considered decent as many biggies didn’t even touch the 30 crore mark at the box office in their entire run.
