‘Avengers: Endgame’ becomes the fastest film to cross $2 billion, topless Titanic to become the second highest grossing movie of all time.
Hollywood biggie Avengers: Endgame is wreaking havoc at the global box office. The film is on a record-breaking streak and it has now become the fastest film to cross $2 billion mark.
‘Avengers: Endgame’ is now the second-highest grossing movie of all time with the global collection of $2.188 billion. It has toppled “Titanic” in just 11 days. ‘Avatar’ released in 2009 to took 47 days to reach $2 billion mark, reports variety.com.
‘Avengers: Endgame’ is the fifth film to cross $2 billion mark, joining the company of “Avatar” ($2.78 billion), “Titanic” ($2.187 billion), “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” ($2.06 billion), and “Avengers: Infinity War” ($2.04 billion).
Talking about the global collection of the film, Anthony and Joe Russo directional earned $620 million at the domestic box office. It is the ninth highest grosser domestically. Overseas, the film has earned $1.56 billion, with $575 million coming from China.
In India too Avengers: Endgame is setting new benchmarks at the box office. It becomes the first Hollywood film to cross 300 crore mark in India. It has earned around 320 crores in 11 days and may become the first film to cross 400 crore mark.
Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Paul Rudd as Ant-Man.
