Former NCP Leader Ajit Pawar took an oath as the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, and with him, a total of 37 NCP MLAs have joined hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Panwar and nine other Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) members have joined the BJP as Ministers.
The list of politicians who joined the BJP includes the names of prominent NPC leaders Chhagan Bhujbal, Hasan Mushrif, Dhananjay Munde, Dilip Walse Patil, Dharmarao Baba Atram, Aditi Tatkare, Anil Patil, and Sanjay Bansode.
To discuss the future course of action, the new deputy Chief minister, Ajit Panwar, has convened a meeting on July 5 in Mumbai. After this drift in the party in Maharashtra, the NCP feared that this could impact the politics in Karnataka as well.
