So here we come up with the list of popular Indians who got divorced in 2021.
1- Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao
Famous Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and Film producer Kiran Rao shook everyone when they announced their divorce in the month of July. After 15 years of marriage, their relationship came to an end and the couple parted ways.
The couple, through a social media post, clarifies that they are doing it with mutual consent, and they are still like a family and will co-parent their son Azad Rao Khan.
Kiran was Aamir’s second wife. Before Kiran, Aamir was married to Reena Dutta. Their relationship ended in 2002, and in 2005 Aamir tied the knot with Kiran.
Though the reason for ending their relationships is not known, yet people have many theories about this. Some reports said that the main reason is Aamir’s love affair with his Dangal co-star Fatima Sana Shaikh. Although Aamir never made any comment on this.
2- Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya
Famous South Indian actors Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya finally ended their 4-years-long marriage. The couple shared a joint statement on social media on October 2, 2021. They stated that with mutual consent both decided to end their marriage.
The reason for the divorce is not clear yet, but there are lots of rumors that grab people’s attention toward this topic. Both the actors faced lots of criticism and personal attacks after their statements about divorce.
One of the rumors that caught fire is Samantha’s refusal of doing item numbers, and erotic scenes in Family Man 2, as it goes against the values of Chaitanya’s family. Well, the rumors will keep circulating but the actual reasons are still unknown.

3- Shikhar Dhawan and Ayesha Mukerji
Indian Cricketer-Batsman Shikhar Dhawan and his wife Aesha Mukerji decided to end their relationship after an eight-year-long marriage.
Shikhar is a popular name in Indian Cricket. He got married in 2012 to Aesha Mukerji, a Melbourne-based kickboxer.
Earlier, Aesha tied the knot with an Australian businessman in 2000. She had two daughters Aliya and Rhea. They divorced and then Aesha met Shikhar and got married. Shikhar and Aesha have a son Zoravar.
The announcement of the divorce was made by Aesha through her social media post where she called herself a “TWO Time Divorcee”.
In her social media post, Aesha gave a message of being strong in difficult phases of life, to the people who are dealing with divorce and heartbreaks.
4- Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal
Popular TV show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame actor Karan Mehra and Indian TV actress Nisha Rawal ended their relationship after 9 years of marriage. The couple got married in June 2012.
Nisha filed a case against her husband and TV star Karan in June. She accused him of Domestic violence and allegedly hitting her on her face.
Nisha also accused him of having an extramarital affair. Although Karan Denied all allegations against him and said his wife herself hit herself against the wall and demanded a hefty amount as alimony from the actor.
5- Honey Singh and Shalini Talwar
Popular Indian rapper and pop singer Yo Yo Honey Singh and his wife Shalini Talwar had a complete breach in their relationship.
Shalini accused her husband of domestic violence. She said that Honey beat her mercilessly many times. She filed a case of Domestic violence against Honey Singh and the Case was registered under the Protection of Women against Domestic Violence Act.
After a decade-long love affair, the rapper got married to Shalini in 2011 but gave confirmation of marriage in 2014. Salini also accused him of having extramarital affairs with multiple women.
She also made a shocking allegation against Honey Singh’s father and reveal that he sexually assaulted her, and Honey and his family were torturing her for a long time.
6- Kirti Kulhari- Saahil Sehgal
After five long years of being married Bollywood actress Kirti Kulhari finally parted her ways with husband Saahil Sehgal. Both tied the knot in 2016.
Kirti has worked in many hit films such as Pink, Uri: The Surgical Strike, and Mission Mangal, while Saahil is best known for his role as Williams in the Hollywood film Basmati Blues. Both actors worked together in Amazon Prime Web Series Four More Shots.
Kirti took to social media and announced her divorce from actor Saahil Sehgal. She further stated that ending a relationship with someone is not easy and she has to go through a lot.
7- Nusrat Jahan And Nikhil Jain
Nusrat Jahan, an actor turned politician and Businessman Nikhil Jain got separated in 2021. They got married in 2019 in Turkish Town Bodrum.
The actress gave lots of controversial statements about her marriage. One of the controversies is, She called her marriage “Invalid”.
She said her marriage with Nikhil Jain was held in Foreign land, as per Turkish Regulation, the ceremony was not legally valid, and one is Hindu and the other party is Muslim, it requires Special Marriage Act in India, which didn’t happen.
According to Nushrat, their relationship was a “live-in relationship”, and not a marriage at all.
