Richa Chadha's remark on Indian Army

Bollywood actress Richa Chadha, who recently got married to her long-time beau Ali Fazal, has found herself in the middle of the controversy with her recent tweet on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash in which 20 brave hearts of the Indian Army attained martyrdom.

The actress is facing backlash and lots of criticism on social media and has been accused of insulting the Indian Army in her latest post on Twitter, which has created uproar on Twitter.

About Her Recent Tweet

On Wednesday, Richa, while reacting to Northern Army Commander Lt. General Upedndra Dwivedi’s comment that the Indian Army is ready to conduct operations in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK), tweeted “Galwan Says Hi.”

The statement of Northern Army Commander Lt. Gen. came in the context of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh’s earlier assertion that India’s goal is to reclaim the POK. However, Richa’s reaction to it stoked the controversy, and now she is getting brutally trolled on social media, with people slamming her for mocking and trolling the valour and sacrifice of the Indian Army.

Many big names, including the members of the Bharatiya Janata Party and filmmakers like Anand Pandita, have criticised Richa Chadha’s remark and called it disrespectful.

Richa Chadh’s Reaction on the Controversy

After the controversy arose, the actress made her Twitter account private for sometime. However, her reaction to the controversy is going viral. On her tweet on Thursday, the actress said that she received a call about what was going on, so she had muted replies.

Now that the actress has made her Twitter account public, she has also come up with a statement seeking apology for her tweet.
