On the occasion of Prime Minister’s mother Heeraben Modi’s birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a visit to Gandhinagar on Saturday morning. PM Modi’s mother celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday completing her centenary. She was born on June 18, 1923.
On the occasion of his mother’s 100th birthday, Prime Minister Modi posted a blog entry in which he expressed his happiness and thanked her. He also stated that if his father had been living, he too would have celebrated his 100th birthday last week.
Prime Minister shares an emotional blog
Narendra Modi tweeted on his mother’s birthday with an emotional blog post. The post states the sacrifices made by his mother in all the aspects of her life that “moulded” the prime minister Modi’s mind, demeanour, and self-assurance were highlighted in a blog post.
In addition to giving birth to her child, a mother also moulds their minds, personalities, and self-confidence, Modi wrote.(unquoted)

What did Hiraba Modi do to earn livelihood?
To help with household expenditures, mother used to wash dishes at a few homes. To boost our meagre income, she would also carve out time to spin the charkha. She would perform all tasks, including spinning yarn and peeling cotton. Her main priority, even throughout this physically taxing labour, was making sure that we wouldn’t get pricked by the cotton thorns.-stated Modi’s blog
How would her birthday be celebrated?
According to the family, puja and other religious events will be held in PM Modi’s birthplace of Vadnagar on the occasion of his mother’s birthday, praying for her long life and good health.. Pujya Hiraba Marg is the name of an 80-metre road in the Raysan neighbourhood.
A communal gathering for bhadara (meal) has also been organised by the family.
Modi’s today’s schedule
PM Modi will meet with his mother before going to Pavagadh, a well-known pilgrimage spot in the Panchmahal area.
According to the state government’s statement, PM Modi will travel to Vadodara to participate in the Gujarat Gaurav Abhiyaan and to lay the foundation stone for18 Indian Railways projects totaling 16,369 crore.
He will lay foundation for 13 other projects totaling 5,620 crore and the new Bhartiya Gati Shakti University building in addition to inaugurating five railway projects built at a cost of 10,749 crore (National Rail Transport Institute).
