On August 15, 2023, India will celebrate its 77th Independence Day. To celebrate this glorious day, the government of India is selling national flags from post offices across India, which is part of Har Ghar Tiranga 2.0.
The Har Ghar Tiranga mission in 2022 got an immense success as 3 crore households hoisted the Tiranga at their homes. Also, as per one of the reports by PIB, around six crore people uploaded selfies with tricolor on the official website.
Now the government of India wants to bring back the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. Now people will be able to buy the national flag from their nearby post offices. Not only this but now the national flags can be bought online as well.
How to National Flag Online?
You can follow the below-mentioned steps to buy the National Flag online on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day.
- Visit the official website of epostoffice at epostoffice.gov.in.
- Login on the portal by filling in the required details.
- Navigate the ‘Product’ option and click on ‘National Flag’.
- Add to the cart along with the quantity of the number of flags.
- Click ‘Buy Now’ and enter the mobile number.
- Click on the ‘Proceed to Payment’ option.
- Check all the details and make the payment.
The buyers need to mention the exact address along with the correct phone number. Once the order is placed, it cannot be canceled.
Cost of National Flag
The National Flag will be available in both online and offline modes. Close to 1.6 lakh post offices across the country will sell the national flag for Rs 25 only. Also, there will be no GST on the sale or purchase of the national flag.
A buyer may purchase up to five flags. Flag sales in post offices will begin soon, and individuals will be able to purchase the national flag simply by walking into their local post office. If someone orders the Tricolor online, then there will be no delivery charges.
