It seems Nupur Sharma is getting into more and more trouble as days are passing, now another news is making headlines that Sharma, the suspended Bhartiya Janta Party leader and its ex-National spokesperson will soon be summoned to appear before Mumbai Police to record her statement for her alleged controversial remark against Prophet Muhammad.
Who is Irfan Sheikh
Sanjay Pandey, the Mumbai Police commissioner on Monday, June 6 told the media that an FIR was registered against the ex-BJP leader for making the remark during a live television debate. The FIR is based on a complaint registered by Irfan Sheikh, who is the joint secretary of Raza Academy, which is an Organisation of Indian Sunni Muslim.
Ms. Sharma has reportedly been charged under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) Section 295 for deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious, Section 153A for promoting enmity between different groups and Section 505B for inducing to commit an offence against the State or against the public tranquility.

Why FIR lodged against Nupur Sharma
On May 27, 2022, Nupur Sharma was invited to join a live TV debate over the issue of Gyanvapi Mosque by Times Now, during that debate, she passes some derogatory remarks against Prophet Muhammad, which is considered a central figure in Islam by its believers, and his wife Aisha, the third and youngest wife of Prophet.
Sharma’s comment has been widely shared internationally on social media due to India is facing huge backlash from Muslim Nations, especially from Arab Countries, where Indian Products have also been boycotted which is not a good sign for India’s economy and its relation with these countries.
