Actress Richa Chadha has been treding on social media since Thursday, November 24, for all wrong. The “Fukrey” actress, who tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend Ali Fazal in September, is facing backlash and huge criticism after her “Galwan” Remark.

What is the Entire Controversy?

The controversy started when the actress, in a reply to a post by a social media user about the statement of the Northern Army Commander, Lt. Gen. Upedndra Dwivedi’s comment that the Indian Army is ready to conduct operations in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK), tweeted “Galwan Says Hi.”

Netizens slammed her for disrespecting the sacrifice and valour of 20 brave Indian Army soldiers who were martyred during the 2020 India-China Galwan Valley clash, in which over 40 Chinese Army soldiers were killed.

The statement of Northern Army Commander Lt. Gen. Upedndra Dwivedi was in reference to the previous statement of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, who earlier asserted that India’s goal is to reclaim the POK.

After the controversy arose, Richa Chadha deleted the tweet and made her Twitter account private. However, after a few hours, she again made it public and also issued a clarification, seeking an apology for her remark, in which she said that it wasn’t her intention to hurt anyone’s sentiment and also mentioned her family’s army connection to clarify her statement.

Bollywood Celebs React to the Controversy

Amid the controversy, Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar, who is known for helping families of Armed forces via his various campaigns, reacted to the latest controversy. He came in support of the Indian Army and took to Twitter to express his disappointment over Chadha’s remark.

Along with him, celebrities like Kay Kay Menon, Manoj Muntashir, and Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri also shared their opinions on the ongoing row and expressed harsh disappointment.
