Bollywood actor and director Satish Kaushik passed away at the age of 66 in the early hour of Thursday, March 9. He was known for his roles like Calender in Mr. India, Pappu Pager in Deewana Mastana, and Chanu Ahmed in Brick Lane.
As per the reports, Satish succumbed to a heart attack while traveling in a car to hospital in Gurugram on 8th April. He is survived by his wife Shashi and 11 yr old daughter Vanshika Kaushik. The news of his death was confirmed by his close friend Anupam Kher, a national award-winning actor, through social media.
Last Rites of Satish Kaushik
On Thursday morning, Satish Kaushik’s body was moved from the Fortis hospital in Gurugram to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital in Delhi for a postmortem. On Thursday afternoon, following the postmortem, his mortal remains were flown to Mumbai.
The actor’s last rituals were carried out at Mumbai’s Versova crematorium. Bollywood actors Sham Kaushal, Anupam Kher, Javed Akhtar, Salman Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, and others paid their final tribute to Satish Kaushik at his residence in Mumbai.
