Legendary lyricist, music composer, and actor Swarup Naik of the Odia Film Industry has passed away. The veteran artist took his last breath on Friday at Cuttack Hospital. Swarup Nayak, born on 8th February 1946, was 77 years old.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also penned a condolence note, remembering his work and contribution to the world of Odia Cinema. BJP National Vice-President Baijayant Jay Panda also remembered Nayak for his unique contributions to the fields of singing and acting.

Swarup Naik is a prominent figure in the Odia Film and Music Industry. He made his acting debut at the young age of 16, first appearing in the film ‘Laxmi’ as a child artist.
