The International Society for Krishna for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) has banned a monk Amogh Lila Das over his controversial remark about Swami Vivekananda and his guru Ramakrishna Paramhansa. The video of Amogh Lila Das is being shared over social media platforms.

On Tuesday, the ISKCON issued a press release in which stating that Amogh Lila Prabhu had admitted to his mistake by making “unacceptable” remarks about Swami Vivekananda and his guru. He would, therefore, cut himself off from social life for a month to atone for his remarks, the press release added.

Why is Amogh Lila Prahu banned from ISKCON?

Amogh Lila Prabhu was banned from ISKCON because of his controversial remarks on Swami Vivekananda and his guru, Ramakrishna Paramhansa. He questioned Swami Vivekananda’s ingestion of fish during one of his Pravachnas, saying that a good man would never eat anything that would harm an animal.

ISKCON expressed its regret at Amogh Lila Das’s “inappropriate and unacceptable comments and his lack of understanding about the great teachings of these two personalities” in a statement, adding that he will be banned from ISKCON for a month.
