The Chief Minister of Punjab and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Bhagwant Mann is making headlines again but this time not for any political issue but for personal reasons. Mann got married for the second time after six years of divorce from first wife.
Bhagwant Mann was earlier married to Inderpreet Kaur with whom he has two children- a son, Dilshan (21) and a daughter Seerat Mann (17). Both the children are studying in the United States of America and reportedly, their mother lives with them.
Mann reportedly got too indulged in politics and that he was not able to dedicate enough time to his wife which led to their separation about six year ago. Both filed for the divorced in 2015 and got separated. Since then, the children live with their mother.
Who is Dr. Gurpreet Kaur?
Mann, the 48-year-old politician married for the second time, to Dr. Gurpreet Kaur in a private ceremony, in presence of family members, AAP top leaders including Arvind Kejriwal, Ragahv Chaddha and close friends.
PTI reports suggest that Gurpreet Kaur’s neighbours say their Gopi Didi (32, age) did MBBS from Maharishi Markandeshwar University (MMU, 2013-18), comes from village Pehowa of district Kurukshetra (Haryana), working as physician now.
As per media sources, the Punjab CM’s mother and sister wanted him to marry again and hence they themselves chose the bride- Gurpreet Kaur for him. The couple will tie knot on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at his Chandigarh residence.
Reportedly, Mann’s mother has already reached the CM’s residence from his native village Satoj. Delhi Chief Minister and the National Convener of AAP, Arvind Kejriwal has been invited as the chief guest for the ceremony.
Age Gap
17 October 1973 born Mann is 48 now at his 2nd marriage time, two Childs are 21, 17. PTI, suggest that Dr Gupreet is just 32 which means around 16-years age gap between the couple.

About Bhagwant Mann
Bhagwant Mann was born on October 17, 1973 in Sikh family of Punjab to Mohinder Singh and Harpal Kaur in Satoj village of Sangrur, Punjab. He is a commerce graduate from Shaheed Udham Singh Government College, Sunam.
Before coming into politics, Mann was a comedian who also competed in Star Plus’s popular show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2008. He joined AAP in 2014 to contest election in the Sangrur Lok Sabha constituency and won by more than 2 lakh votes against Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa.
On March 16, 2022, he took oath as the 17th Chief Minister of Punjab and became the youngest CM of the state since the 1970s. Both of his children came all the way from the USA to attend their father’s oath-taking ceremony.
