On September 21, 2023, 33-year-old female Army officer Major Chitra Pandey met with an accident and lost her life. Major Chitra was on her way to meet her husband; she was with her 7-year-old son.
She was traveling in a local car, and a person named Pankaj was driving the car. As per the latest updates, both the son and the driver of the major were injured, but Major Chitra couldn’t survive the fierce accident.
How did the accident Happen?
From Pathankot to Amritsar Airport, Major Chitra arranged for a private vehicle. She and her kid were traveling when the car abruptly collided with a truck that was traveling ahead as they approached the Chaudharpura bypass at Dhariwal.
The collision’s force was so strong that the car’s bumpers blew off. Major Chitra, who was in the automobile, died instantly from the terrible accident, and both her son Archit and the Pathankot-resident driver, Pankaj, suffered life-threatening injuries.
The truck driver left the spot along with his truck. Both injured patients were transported by ambulance to Gurdaspur Civil Hospital for treatment, and police have detained the body of the deceased female army officer and are taking further action.
Who is Chitra Pandey’s Husband?
Major Chitra Pandey was the wife of Adarsh Pandey. She was from Lucknow and was posted in Pathankot to serve as a Major in the Army’s ASC Battalion’s Supply Corps.
Archit Pandey is the son of Major Chitra Pandey and Adarsh Pandey. She and her son were on their way to meet her husband on the day of the accident. On the way to the airport in Amritsar, a tragedy occurred.
The sudden loss has left family and friends in deep grief and she is survived by her husband and 7-year-old son.
