Abhishek Singh, an IAS from the 2011 class, is one of India’s most well-known officers. Following his removal from Gujarat election duty in November of last year for blogging about his new assignment on social media, Abhishek attracted attention and announced his resignation from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).

He also made a name in the entertainment sector, appearing in various movies. He gained notoriety for his performance in the well-regarded Netflix series “Delhi Crime”. Additionally, he appeared in the short film Chaar Pandrah and the song Dil Tod Ke by B Praak.

Recently, Abhishek organized a gala event in Jaunpur for the celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi, during which several Bollywood celebrities were spotted. This initiative is thought to be a lead-up to getting ready for the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

Who is IAS Abhishek Singh?

Abhishek was born on August 22, 1990, in Uttar Pradesh as per Jagranjosh. His father is also a retired IAS officer and Abhishek cracked UPSC in 2011 and received AIR 94. Abhishek Singh received a three-year deputation with the Delhi government in 2015. It was extended for another two years in 2018.

However, he took a medical leave in the interim, and on March 19, 2020, the Delhi government sent him to his home cadre in Uttar Pradesh as a result. He took a long period before beginning his duty in UP. He did not respond even though the appointment department urged him to. Finally, on June 30, 2022, he reported back to work.

Abhishek Singh is married to IAS Durga Shakti Nagpal. She is from Chhattisgarh and holds a B.Tech degree. Durga Shakti secured the All India Rank 20 and entered the prestigious IAS cadre. Abhishek and Durga together have 2 daughters.
