Peyush Bansal was born on 26 April 1985 in New Delhi, India. He studied at Don Bosco School, Delhi, and pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University, Montreal, Canada, from 2002 to 2006.
He completed his post-graduation from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore (2008-2009). Peyush established Lensakart in 2010 with Amith Chaudhary and Sumeet Kapahi and took over as CEO of the company.

In the episode, Peyush was heard saying “CA se Duur rehna.” The comment didn’t sit well with netizens (especially among the CAs) which cause a flurry of reaction online. However, Peyush later issued an apology.
