MasterChef India Season 8 will be hosted by Chef Vikas Khanna, Chef Ranveer Brar, and the new addition of Indian pastry chef Pooja Dhingra. Last season was hosted by Garima Arora, and this season Pooja Dhingra will take the place of Garima Arora.

Who is Pooja Dhingra?

Pooja Dhingra is an Indian pastry chef and businesswoman. She founded the first macaron shop in India and is the proprietor of the Le15 Patisserie bakery chain, which specializes in macarons and a variety of other French delicacies.

Before enrolling in hospitality and management Pooja took admission at a law school in Mumbai. But in 2004 she quit the course to to attend a hospitality course at the César Ritz school in Le Bouveret, Switzerland.

Pooja is currently one of India’s top chefs. She is the owner of Studio Fifteen Culinary Center and Le 15 Patisserie. She was on both the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia and Forbes India 30 Under 30 lists for 2014.

Pooja was born on August 5th, 1986 and both her father and her brother Varun Dhingra are restaurant owners. Pooja loved baking since she was a child and she learned the art of baking from her aunt. Pooja’s mother used to run a small homemade chocolate business. As of the latest information, Pooja Dhingra is not married, nor does she have any children.

In September 2013, Pooja launched her own cooking school Studio Fifteen. Her school provides a wide range of practical courses, which cover different themes and cuisines and are specially designed to suit learners with varied levels of kitchen experience.

Apart from being a Chef, she is also a published author and has written various books on baking. Her book “Coming Home” is widely recognized and loved.
