Sachin Pilot is a senior Congress leader and former deputy CM of Rajasthan. He was born on September 7, 1977, in Saharanpur. His father, Rajesh Pilot, was a Union Minister, and his mother, Rama Pilot, is also a senior leader of Congress.
Pilot studied at Air Force Bal Bharati School, New Delhi. After that, he was admitted to St. Stephens College, University of Delhi, from where he pursued his graduation. It was the year 2004 when Pilot made his political debut from the Dausa constituency and became the youngest Member of Parliament at the age of 26. Again in the year 2009, he won the elections from Ajmer’s seat and became the MP.
Pilot was a member of the Lok Sabha’s Standing Committee on Home Affairs and a member of the Consultative Committee in the Ministry of Civil Aviation. In 2012, he became the Minister of Corporate Affairs. In 2014 he became the President of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee.
Sachin Pilot is also the first Union minister to be commissioned in the Territorial Army as an officer. On September 6, 2012, Pilot was commissioned into the Territorial Army, fulfilling his father’s footsteps to be in the armed forces.
