The Reserve Bank of India Assistant Exam is among the toughest and one of the most prestigious and highly-paid jobs. Therefore every year thousands of candidates fill out the application for the RBI Assistant Exam 2023 which led to very tough competition among the candidates.

The Reserve Bank of India will issue the RBI Assistant 2023 notification PDF. As per the notice, the RBI Assistant Apply Online link will be active until October 4, 2023.

RBI Assistant 2023 Vacancy

The Reserve Bank of India has revealed the RBI Assistant Vacancy 2023 along with the release of its notification. A total of 450 vacancies will be filled for the post of assistant in various branches of the RBI.

These vacancies are released state-wise and category-wise. There are 241 openings for general, 71 for OBC, 56 for ST, 45 for SC, and 37 for EWS. Out of these 450 vacancies, 8 are backlog vacancies.

RBI Assistant 2023 Application Process

The Reserve Bank activated the RBI Assistant Registration link on its official website at www.rbi.org.in on September 13, 2023. The last date to submit the application is October 4, 2023.

Once the application window is open, candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to fill out their application online.

  • Candidates need to visit the official website of the Reserve Bank of India, www.rbi.org.in, once the RBI Assistant 2023 notification is released.
  • Visit the home page, find the link “New Registration” and click on that link.
  • To proceed with the application form registration, enter your email address and mobile phone number.
  • Registration and password will now be generated and sent to both your registered mobile number and email address.
  • After successful registration, fill in the details correctly, such as your name, father’s name, mother’s name, address, education qualification, date of birth, and other details.
  • Upload the necessary documents, such as a scanned passport photo and signature, in the required format.
  • Make sure you fill out the application form correctly and accurately before submitting it.
  • After submitting the online application form, pay the application fees online via debit/credit card, net banking, e-wallet, etc.
  • Take a printout of the application form for further reference.

RBI Assistant 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates applying for RBI Assistant 2023 must be well informed about the RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria, which comprises factors like nationality, education qualification, age limit, etc.

As per the RBI Assistant Eligibility, the age of the candidate should be between 20 and 28 years, and he or she should have completed graduation with a minimum of 50% from a recognised university.

Nationality

  • A candidate must be a citizen of India a subject of either Nepal or Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who moved to India before January 1, 1962.
  • A candidate of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam

Educational Qualification

  • The RBI Assistant Qualification requires a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or its equivalent with an aggregate of 50% or higher in any discipline. For the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD, only a degree with passing marks is required.
  • Candidates must know about computers as well as be proficient in the local language of the concerned state or Union Territory.

RBI Assistant Age Limit 2023

As per the RBI Assistant age limit rule, candidates’ ages must be between 20 and 28 years for the RBI Assistant Exam. The age relaxation of 3 to 10 years is granted by the Government of India to reserved categories.

RBI Assistant 2023 Selection Process

The RBI Assistant Selection Process 2023 comprises three stages, i.e., Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination and Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The RBI Assistant Prelims exam consists of 100 marks, while the Mains exam consists of 200 marks. The final selection will be based on the score of the main exam.

With each stage, the candidates are shortlisted, and the ones who clear all the stages successfully get the provisional allotment in the various branches of the Reserve Bank of India across India.

      Yes, there is negative marking in the RBI Assistant exam. 1/4th marks are deducted for wrong answers in both prelims and mains exams. The total marks of candidates are calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect responses after applying a penalty for wrong answers.
