RBI Grade B 2023 Selection Process

Phase I and Phase II are online objective/descriptive exams followed by interviews. The final merit lists will be determined by the total scores acquired during phase 2 and the interview.

RBI Grade B 2023 Phase I

The first phase of the exam is of a qualifying nature. The final selection does not take into account the marks earned in this phase. However, candidates must meet both the overall and sectional cut-offs in order to take the next phase exam.

The exam is divided into four sections of 200 questions each worth one mark, with a negative marking worth 0.25 points. The total exam time is 120 minutes.

RBI Group B 2023 Phase II

The second phase of the RBI Group B selection process consists of both objective and descriptive questions. Qualified candidates from Phase I will appear for the Phase II exam. The sections included in this phase are economic and social issues, finance and management, and English.

The exam comprises a total of 300 marks, and candidates get a time frame of 3 hours and 30 minutes to finish all the sections. The scores earned in this round, coupled with the marks earned in the group discussion and interview, will determine the selection of candidates. Candidates should also review the RBI Grade B 2023 Syllabus to know the topics included in the subjects.

RBI Grade B 2023 Phase II Exam pattern

RBI Grade B 2023 GD/Interview

The interview is the final round of the RBI Grade B 2023 Selection process. Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on their marks obtained in Phase II.

Only those candidates who have obtained sectional and overall cut-offs will be shortlisted and appear for an interview. The interview consists of 75 marks. Candidates can choose either Hindi or English as their interview language. The marks obtained in the interview will be added to the final selection.

Questions about banking knowledge, current events, the RBI, as well as personal and academic matters, are asked during the interview. Candidates are advised to carry all the important documents mentioned, such as an interview call letter, photo ID proof, education qualification certificate, caste certificate, etc.

Ans- The RBI Grade B selection process consist of phase I, Phase II followed by GD/Interview

Q- Is there any attempt limit for the RBI Grade B exam?

Ans-For the general category, there are a total of six attempts, while for the reserved category, there is no limit to appearing in the exam.

Q-What is the age limit to apply for the RBI Grade B exam?

Ans-The age limit is between 21 and 30 years. Age relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates.

Q- Is there any negative marking scheme in the RBI Grade B exam?

Ans- Yes, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks in the RBI Grade B exam.
