SBI Clerk 2023 Recruitment: The State Bank of India annually conducts the SBI Clerk exam for the recruitment of Junior Associates (customer support and sales) for various branches of SBI in India. Junior Associate is an entry-level post in SBI. The majority of banking aspirants register for the SBI clerk exam every year because the SBI clerk is one of the top banking exams in India and offers a lucrative salary for clerk positions as compared to other banks.

SBI Clerk 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The applicants must meet specific SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2023 requirements in order to be qualified to appear for the examination. The eligibility criteria include nationality, age limit, and education qualification. All applicants must present documentation proving their eligibility. Education Qulaification

Language Proficiency  

• Candidates should be fluent in the language spoken in the state where they plan to apply. They must have studied the language in either 10th or 12th grade.

SBI Clerk 2023 Age limit

• The age limit for candidates for the SBI Clerk post should be between 20 to 28 years.
• OBC non-creamy layer will get a three-year age relaxation.
• ST/SC and J&K domiciled(in the period -January 1, 1980, to December 31, 1989) can apply up to 33 years.
• 7 years of age relaxation for divorced, widowed, and judicially separated women from their husbands as per their categories
• Persons with disabilities will get 10 to 13 years of relaxation based on their category.

Candidates have to pay a nominal charge for the application. The mode of payment is online. Note that the application fee will not be refunded in any case. Candidates have to pay the fee at the time of online application submission.

The SBI Clerk 2023 application online link will be available on the official website of the State Bank of India. Candidates can follow the given steps to fill out their application form.

• Search for “Recruitment of SBI Clerk 2023” and click on “apply online.”

SBI Clerk 2023 Selection Process

The SBI clerk selection process 2023 comprises a 3 stage examination process. Those who successfully complete all phases will be hired as junior associates. Selected candidates must complete a six-month probationary term to become permanent employees of SBI. The stages of the SBI Clerk 2023 exam include the following:

• Preliminary Exam
• Mains Exam
• Language Proficiency

Stage I- Preliminary Exam

The prelims exam is the first step in the SBI Clerk selection process. The exam consists of 100 questions for a total of 100 marks. In this round, the majority of candidates will be eliminated. The score obtained in this round is not included in the final merit list.

The mode of this exam is online, and all objective-type questions will be asked in this round. The exam is conducted to shortlist the candidates for the main exam. Candidates will get 60 minutes to finish their papers.

Stage II- Mains Exam

SBI will shortlist candidates (more than 10 times the number of vacancies) for the main exam. The exam will be conducted online with only objective-type questions. There are four sections in this exam, and candidates have to finish each section within the given time frame. The total duration of the exam is 2 hours and 40 minutes.

The exam comprises 190 questions with a total of 200 marks. There will be a negative marking of 1/4 marks for incorrect responses. Candidates have to meet the minimum qualifying scores in order to be on the merit list.

Stage III-Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

Applicants have to provide proof of the state language they have studied in their 10th and 12th grades. Those who don’t have any local language subject in their high school or intermediate school have to go through this round.

The LPT is conducted to check the reading, writing, and speaking skills of candidates in the selected language of the preferred state.

SBI Clerk 2023 Exam Pattern 

Altogether there will be 2 objective-type exams- prelims and mains. Candidates who will appear for the exam must check the SBI 2023 exam pattern to make preparation strategies accordingly. SBI Clerk 2023 Syllabus

There are two sections of the SBI Clerk 2023 syllabus: the prelims and the mains. The syllabus of both exams is slightly different, but there are some common sections in both exams, such as general English, reasoning ability, and quantitative aptitude. SBI Clerk 2023 Preparation Books

After reviewing the exam pattern and syllabus, the next step is to find preparation books that will aid in creating a proper preparation strategy and plan. Candidates should plan their schedule subject-wise in order to cover the important topics.

SBI Clerk 2023 Admit Card

The State Bank of India will release the SBI Clerk’s admit card a week prior to the exam. Applicants will be able to download their admit cards from the SBI’s official website, www.sbi.co.in. Candidates need to carry this admit card along with the call letter for the prelims/main exam and a photo ID proof at the time of their exam.

Applicants can download their admit card by entering their registration number and DOB/password. On release, candidates can follow the given steps to download the admit card.

SBI Clerk 2023 Result

The bank will release the results within one or two months after conducting the examination on its official website. The result will be declared category-wise for each state. It is important to know that the preliminary exam is qualifying in nature. The final section will be based on the score obtained in the main examination.

Candidates can check their SBI Clerk 2023 results by using their registration ID, DOB, or password. SBI will release the provisional merit list for SBI clerks. Only candidates who have passed the main exam, the language proficiency test, and all other SBI eligibility requirements will be placed in the state and city of their choice.

SBI Clerk 2023 Cutoff

The SBI clerk 2023 cut-off for each stage will be released along with the result on the official website. Candidates have to score the minimum qualification mark to be on the merit list. SBI Clerk 2023 Waiting List

SBI will prepare a weighting list for the candidates who may get the opportunity to join SBI as junior associates. Only those candidates who will score minimum qualifying marks will be included in this waiting list.

The weighting list of candidates will be called in case any selected candidates do not join or resign from the bank. The validity of this list is up to one year.

Selected candidates will serve a probation period of 6 months. On successful completion of the probation, the period candidate will become a permanent employee of SBI. The salary of an SBI clerk is between 45,000 and 50,000 rupees. Apart from salary candidates will also get various allowances such as DA, HRA, TA, medical benefits, etc.
