Nationality
To be eligible for the SBI PO 2023 examination a candidate needs to be
- A citizen of India or
- A subject of Nepal or
- A subject of Bhutan or
- A Tibetan refugee who moved to India for permanent residence before January 1, 1962 or
- A person who migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma (Myanmar), Vietnam, and East African nations such as Uganda, Kenya, Zambia, Zaire, Malawi, Ethiopia, and Tanzania,
SBI PO 2023 Age Limit
As per the SBI PO age limit rule, the minimum age to apply is 21 years, and the maximum age is 30 years. Candidates who belong to reserved categories such as OBC and SC/ST will get an upper age relaxation of 3 to 5 years, respectively.

Age Reservation
- Applicants from OBC’s non-creamy layer will get an age relaxation of 3 years.
- SC/ST category candidates can apply up to 35 years.
- Ex-servicemen, ECO will be granted a 5-year age relaxation.
- Persons with disabilities in the general and EWS categories will get 10 years of age relaxation.
- For people with disabilities in the OBC category, there is a 13-year age relaxation; for those in the SC/ST category, it is 15 years.
SBI PO 2023 Education Qualification
- The required SBI PO qualification is bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in any discipline. Candidates who hold CA qualifications may also apply.
- Those who are in the last semester of their graduation are also eligible for the SBI PO exam, but they have to provide proof of their degree at the time of the interview.
- Applicants have to convert the CGPA and OGPA into percentages while filling out the application form.
- 59.99% will not be treated as 60%; this fraction of the percentage will be ignored.
Number of Attempts
- Aspirants who belong to the general category will get four attempts to clear the SBO PO 2023 exam.
- OBC and persons with disabilities in the OBC, EWS, and GEN categories will be given seven attempts to pass the exam.
- There is no such limitation for SC/ST category candidates.
Reservation for Disability
- A 4% reservation will be made for people with benchmark disabilities.
- The reservation will be given to candidates with locomotor disability (LD), visual impairment (VI), hearing impairment (HI), and specific learning disabilities(SLD).
At the time of the interview, candidates have to carry the original documents that support their eligibility for verification purposes. Those candidates who want to avail the benefit from reservation must provide a disability certificate issued by a concerned authority under the government of India. All the candidates have to fulfill the prescribed criteria set by SBI.
