SSC CGL 2023-24 Tier I
The first stage of SSC CGL 2023–24 is Tier I: computer-based test that is qualifying in nature, and the marks obtained by candidates on it will not be considered for the final merit. There will be a negative marking of 0.5 marks for each wrong answer.

SSC CGL 2023-24 Tier II
The SSC CGL 2023 Tier II Exam will be conducted in three phases: Paper I, Paper II, & Paper III. Paper I is compulsory for all, while Paper II is for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the M/O Statistics and Programme Implementation, and Paper III is for the candidates applying for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer.

There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Paper I and 0.5 marks for each wrong answer in Paper II and Paper III. The marks obtained by candidates in SSC CGL 2023–24 Tier II will be considered for the final merit.

Document Verification
After clearing both tiers of the SSC CGL 2023-24 examination, the selected candidates have to appear for the Document Verification round. The candidates must carry the required original documents along with their photocopies in the document verification round.
Also, the candidates availing reservation must carry the adequate supportive document. The candidates not bearing any of the required documents will be disqualified immediately. The required documents candidates must carry while appearing in the document verification round are:
