SSC CHSL 2023 Selection Process
Before understanding the exam pattern, candidates should note that SSC has also made major changes to the SSC CHSL 2023 selection process as well. Previously, SSC used to conduct a three-tiered exam to make selections, but as per the most recent announcement, there will only be a two-tiered written exam, followed by document verification.

SSC CHSL 2023 Exam Pattern: Tier I
The Tier I exam consists of only objective-type questions with a total of 200 marks. Only those who will clear this round will appear for the Tier II exam. Candidates can review the Tier 1 exam pattern in the given table.

- There are 4 sections: general intelligence, general awareness, quantitative aptitude and English and each section consists of 25 questions.
- Candidates will get 60 minutes to finish the entire exam. PWD category candidates will have a total of 80 minutes to answer the questions.
- For each correct answer, candidates will get 2 marks and for each incorrect answer, there will be a deduction of 0.50 marks.
SSC CHSL 2023 Exam Pattern: Tier 2( New Pattern)
Tier II is an online exam consisting of objective and skill-based questions. The exam will be given in both Hindi and English, with the exception of the English language. There are 2 sessions and 3 sections. Each section has two modules.

- The subjects included in the Tier 2 exam – mathematical abilities, reasoning and general intelligence, English language and comprehension, general awareness and computer knowledge.
- Altogether, there will be 135 questions, and each question is worth 3 marks. For each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
