SSC CHSL 2024 Selection Process
Along with the selection process, the Staff Selection Commission has also updated the CHSL exam pattern and syllabus for the exam.
Earlier, the SSC used to choose applicants by holding a three-tier examination process, but as per the latest announcement, there will be only two stages of written examinations.

SSC CHSL 2024 Selection Process: Tier 1
The SSC CHSL Tier 1 is qualifying in nature. As per the SSC CHSL exam pattern for Tier 1, there are 100 multiple-choice questions with 200 marks. Altogether, there will be four sections in the exam.
For each incorrect answer, 0.50 marks will be deducted. Candidates will get a composite time of 60 minutes to finish the exam.
The SSC CHSL syllabus includes English, quantitative aptitude, general intelligence, and general awareness. Because it is a qualifying test, the marks obtained in this exam will not be counted in the final selection.

SSC CHSL 2024 Selection Process: Tier 2
Those who pass the Tier 1 test will take the Tier 2 exam. As per the SSC CHSL Exam pattern 2024 for Tier 2 There are two sessions in the Tier 2 exam, and both sessions are conducted on the same day.
These sessions are further divided into sections and modules. Sections I, II and Module I of Section III will all be conducted during Session I. Module II of Section III will be conducted in Session II.

SSC CHSL 2024 Selection Process: Documents Verification
Verifying documents is the final stage of the SSC CHSL selection process. Candidates who have applied for the reservation at the time of application submission must submit additional supporting documentation.
Only those candidates who meet the SSC CHSL eligibility criteria will be selected. Candidates are advised to carry originals and photocopies of the required documents. Below is a list of the necessary SSC CHSL 2024 documents.

SSC CHSL Tie-breaking Policy
The SSC Tie-breaking Policy is applied when two or more candidates score the same. The tie is resolved using the following-
- Preference will be given to the candidate who obtained the highest combined score on the written exam (combining Tier 1 and Tier 2 scores).
- If there is still a tie, candidates who are older than others will be given preference.
- If the tie still exists, the candidates’ names will be checked in alphabetic order, and the candidate whose name comes first will be selected.
