About the SSC JHT Exam
SSC conducted the SSC JHT exam to fill Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted positions for Junior Hindi Translators, Junior Translators, and Senior Hindi Translators for various Ministries, Departments, and Organisations in the Government of India.
The selection of candidates for SSC JHT is based on two stages: paper 1 and paper 2. The paper is conducted online via CBT, while paper 2 is a descriptive exam.

SSC JHT Application Process consists of two parts: One-Time Registration and Filling of an Online Application for the Examination. You are advised to follow the steps mentioned below to fill out the online application form for SSC JHT.

- Click on the “Register Now” link provided in the Login Section for the One Time Registration.
- Now fill in the basic and educational details asked in the One-Time Registration process.
- Upon clicking “Final Submit,” different OTPs will be sent to your registered mobile number and email address. You need to enter one of the two OTPs, to complete the Registration Process.
- Now log in with Registration No. and Password generated by One Time Registration Process.
- Click on the “Apply” link under the “Latest Notifications” tab.
- The information regarding your basic and educational details will be automatically filled in from your One Time Registration Data.
- Now, upload the required documents, such as a recent scanned colour passport-size photograph and a scanned signature, and click on “I Agree”.
- Proceed to make the fee payment, and after the application is successful, it will be accepted Provisionally.
SSC JHT 2023 Application Fee
Candidates who are willing to apply for the SSC JHT Exam must pay the online application fee of INR 100, which you can pay through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or a RuPay Credit or Debit Card, or in cash at SBI Branches by generating an SBI Challan.
SSC JHT 2023 Eligibility Criteria
The SSC JHT Eligibility Criteria consists of components including Nationality, Educational Qualification, Age Limit Age Relaxation etc. The SSC JHT Eligibility states that the candidate’s age should be between 18 and 30 years and they must hold a master’s degree in Hindi or English.

The SSC JHT qualifications vary from post to post. In addition to your academic qualifications, a recognised diploma or certificate from Hindi to English and vice versa.
Experience (which varies depending on the position) in translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in a Central or State Government Office, including Government of India undertakings, is required.
SSC JHT Age Limit
The SSC JHT Age limit should be between 18 and 30 years old. Candidates who belong to the reserved category will get age relaxation. For OBC, the upper age limit is 33 years, while for SC and ST, it is 5 years.

As per the guidelines of the Staff Selection Commission, the SSC JHT Selection Process consists of two stages: Paper 1 (the CBE round) and Paper 2 (the descriptive test), followed by a document verification round.
