The Staff Selection Commission released the SSC Stenographer 2023 syllabus and exam pattern for the CBT exam along with the notification on August 2, 2023. As per the schedule, the SSC Stenographer Tier 1 (CBT) exam will be conducted on the 12th and 13th of October 2023.

The SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2023 for the tier 1 (Compute-Based Test ) consists of three sections. The written exam consists of 200 questions, each worth 1 point. Candidates will have 2 hours to finish all the sections.

SSC Stenographer Skill Test (Tier 2)

The SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern for Skill Test consists of two sections in Hindi and English. The duration of the exam for grades ‘C’ and D ‘ will be different. The matter will have to be transcribed on the computer.

For SSC Stenographer Skill Test, candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi at the speed of 100 words per minute for the post of Stenographer Grade “C” and 80 words/minute for the post of Stenographer Grade “D.”The transcription timing is given below in the table:
