Chhath Puja is celebrated on the 6th day of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. Sun God is worshipped in Chhath Puja. According to the Scriptures, it is also said that mother Chhathi (wife of the sun) is worshipped on this day.
Through this puja, we thank Lord Surya and wish him good health and happiness. Chhath Puja is celebrated twice, once in Chaitra, and the second time in Kartik month.
