The Birth anniversary of Lord Shri Krishna is celebrated as Janmashtami or Gokul Ashtami or Kanha Aashtami in Bhadrapad Month’s Krishna Paksha Ashtami according to the Hindu Calendar, the date falling on the 19th of August this year.
