Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s long-awaited movie Pushpa, which already created a buzz among movie lovers and the fans of Allu Arjun across India, has finally been released in theaters.

This big-budget action thriller revolves around the smuggling of the Red Sanders tree in Seshachalam Hills, Andhra Pradesh. It is helmed by Sukumar in two parts, first one is ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, one of the biggest Upcoming South Indian Movies.

Mahesh Babu was first signed for this project but due to creative differences, he got replaced by Allu Arjun. Allu and Sukumar, are working together after a decade, their last film Aarya 2 (2009) was a hit.

It is bankrolled by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar and made under Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media production companies. Rashmika Mandanna is featured in this movie as a lead actress opposite Allu Arjun. Her official poster was recently launched by the makers official account of the same name as Pushpa’s Srivalli on Sep 29, 2021.

Pushpa Release Date

The film was to release on Aug 2021 during Independence Day but got halted due to the covid-19 pandemic in India. In May 2021 makers announced that the film will be released in Two parts titled Pushpa: The Rise- Part 1 and Part 2, the first Part will be released on 17 Dec 2021, and the latter part will be released in the year 2022 worldwide.

The film has been released in the Telugu version along with its dubbed versions simultaneously in all 4 languages Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. Already releases on 16 Dec, the USA in all languages.

Pushpa: The Rise- Part 1 Star Cast

It has an ensemble cast of South Indian actors.

  • Allu Arjun in a titular role as Pushpa Raj
  • Rashmika Mandanna is playing a character called Srivalli.
  • Fahadh Faasil is an I.P.S in the film as Bhanwar Singh Sekhawat
  • Dhananjay is playing Jolly Reddy.

Other actors are Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Sunil, Harish Uttaman, Harish Kishore, Anasuya Bharadwaj, and Sritej.

Films title Pushpa was announced on 8 April 2020 during Allu Arjun’s birthday and the first motion poster of the film was also released on the same day featuring Allu Arjun.

Makers released an intro trailer on 7 April 2021 on their official YouTube channel Mythri Movie Makers, introducing Allu Arjun as Pushpa, it grasped an amazing response from the audiences, it has surpassed 8.5 crores views as of now with 19 lakh likes on it. Fans are waiting for the movie to come to the cinema theatres.

Pushpa: The Rise- Part 1 Budget & Controversy

The shooting was held in most parts of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana state, it started from March 2020 from Kerala State but got halted due to corona. Apparently, a 6-minute action sequence  is made up of 6 crores according to several reports. Reportedly the film is made on a budget of 250 crores.

Apart from this there is a controversy also added to the film, on 27 Aug 2020 writer Vempalli Gangadhar accused the filmmakers for plagiarising his short story Tamil Coolie written for a popular magazine.
