Super 30 is a biographical drama film based on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar and his educational program Super 30. 

Super 30 is a biographical drama film based on the life of Indian mathematician Anand Kumar. Born on 1 Jan 1973, Anand Kumar is a mathematician, educationist best known for his Super 30 programme. He started this programme in Patna, Bihar in 2002. Under this programme, he coaches economically backward students for IIT-JEE.

Super 30 stars Hrithik Roshan, Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Tripathi in lead roles. It is directed by Vikas Bahl who has been allegedly accused of sexual harassment actress Nayani Dixit and a phantom employee. He was fired by Phantom and Anurag Kashyap will get direction credit.

Storyline

Super 30 is a biopic drama film. It showcases the journey of Anand Kumar and his family. It will show the struggle this ace mathematician has to go through since his childhood days.

Star Cast

The film stars Hrithik Roshan in the lead role of Anand Kumar. He will be seen in a complete non-glam avatar in the film. TV actress Mrunal Thakur plays Rithu Rashmi (Anand Kumar’s wife) in the film. Actor Pankaj Tripathi will be seen as Devraj Jagan Safdurjang (Anand Kumar’s rival).

Budget

No official information has been shared about the budget of the film by the makers. However, our close sources have confirmed that the budget of Super 30 is around 80 crores. Around 15 crores will be spent on the advertisement, promotion, and publicity of the film. Thus, the total budget of Super 30 would be around 85 crores.

Posters and Photos

On Teacher’s Day 2019, Hrithik Roshan released the posters on his social media handles. He shared three posters, one introducing his character of Anand Kumar, the mathematician who trains underprivileged students for IIT entrance exams, the other one has him surrounded by his students and the last one shows the students ready for some sort of a battle.

The trailer of the film is expected to release in the second week of June 2019.

Release Date

The film was earlier scheduled to release in Nov 2018. However, the release date was postponed to 25 Jan 2019 due to delay in post-production and sexual misconduct accusation on director Vikas Bahl. The film was again postponed and is now finally ready for release on 26 July 2019. It will be Hrithik Roshan’s second film in the last 3 years. His last film Kaabil was released on 25 Jan 2017.

Total Box Office Collection

Hrithik Roshan is a superstar and he is making a sort of comeback with this film. Hrithik fans are eagerly waiting for Super 30 as it will be coming after a long gap of almost 3 years. At the box office, Super 30 will clash with Kangana Ranaut and Rajkumar Rao starrer Mental Hai Kya. We will update this section once the trailer is out.
