The megastar Rajinikanth twisted his ankle and sprained it while shooting for a special episode of ‘Man Vs Wild’ with Bear Grylls at the Bandipur Tiger Reserve in Karnataka on Tuesday.
In August 2019, the 68-year-old Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi made a splashing appearance on the world popular show ‘Man Vs Wild’ with Bear Grylls. The two of them sailed through the Jim Corbett National Park of Uttarakhand in a make-shift boat where they were hurt with stones and unexpected rain showers. However, PM Mod stood his cause and safely made it to shore as Bear lauded his presence of mind and calm behaviour during the odd situation.

This time none other than the South Indian star Rajinikanth joined the adventurer Bear Grylls for the shoot of special episode in the Bandipur Tiger Reserve in India. The actor, who took a two-day break from his shooting schedule of ‘Thalaivaa’, shot for the episode in Bandipur, Karnataka. On Tuesday, Rajnikanth hurt himself as he twisted his ankle during one of the scenes. However, a report published by ANI said ‘It is all false. As per the screenplay, there was a shot in which Rajinikanth had to fall, so while getting down from the rope, he just fell down and everybody rushed. It was all in the screenplay’. Apparently, Rajinikanth only got a few scratches here and there because of thorns and no major injuries other than those.

Rajnikanth’s spokesperson Balachandran said Thailaivaa was doing fine and had already left to join the shooting schedule of ‘Thailaivaa 68’. He dismissed the false news of any injury suffered by Rajinikanth. Explaining the viral video of Rajini twisting his ankle, he said it was from Mysore airport and not the shoot location of ‘Man Vs Wild’.
Rajinikanth is the second high-profile Indian to appear in the popular adventure-based show with Bear Grylls. Several Hollywood stars Channing Tatum, Brie Larson, Joel McHale, Cara Delevingne, Rob Riggle, Armie Hammer and Dave Bautista are due to star in special episodes of the show where they will test their inner adrenaline junkie while they accompany Bear into the wilderness of nature.
