The notorious Tamil Rockers didn’t even spare the Hollywood’s most anticipated movie, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator Dark Fate. The film stars Linda Hamilton as ‘Sarah Conor’ from the ‘Terminator 2: Judgement Day’. The T-800 Terminator and Sarah reunite after 28 years in the sequel of ‘Terminator’.
The lead pair is joined by Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna and Diego Boneta who play new characters. The film had already piqued the viewer’s interest because of the long-due sequel and also because the iconic Arnold was to return to his legendary ‘Terminator’ character.
Nonetheless, the film was leaked online to watch and download by the Tamil Rockers. The team of pirates have a shady history of knocking-down major film Box-Office collection by leaking the pirated versions online. After Prabhas’ ‘Saaho’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Housefull 4’ and ‘Bigil’, the untethered TamilRockers leaked Arnold’s ‘Terminator: Darkish Destiny’ on its release day.
For the uninitiated, Tamilrockers is the Number 1 torrent website for motion pictures. The leak is expected to damage the Opening Day collections of the much-awaited film. Even though the website is blocked by the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India, the Netizens have a way to watch and download the pirated film fearlessly.
The leak sure leaves a scar in the film’s overall collections but true fans of the legendary actor and the ‘Terminator’ franchise will hopefully be turning to the theatres. This is because nothing compares to the fabulous experience and contentment of watching such a great Hollywood film in the cinema halls. Besides, where’s the fun in watching the film in 480p*720p resolution on your TV screen when you can go to the nearest Imax.
The Arnold starrer film, ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ has been produced by David Elison and James Cameron, directed by Tim Miller and distributed by Paramount Pictures in North America, Tencent Pictures in China, and 20th Century Fox in other territories. The film released in cinemas on 1 November 2019.
The leaking of films online has become rampant now. The filmmakers and Government of India have been trying to put all the malpractices at bay. However, little has been achieved until now.
