BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Sushil Modi has dismissed the report of strain with Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar. He said that everything is peaceful between the two allies and the Bhar poll will be fought under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.
Nitish Kumar’s JDU and Sushil Modi’s BJP seem to be bound by a common purpose and vision in Bihar, but recently there were reports that some bitterness is undergoing between the two allies.
This news especially gained momentum when a letter was leaked from the Special Branch of the state Intelligence. This letter was issued on May 28 in which all the subordinate offices were directed to furnish the details about Rashtriya Swayamevak Sangh, and it’s allied organisations.
Even though there has been a very strong bond between Sushil Modi and Nitish Kumar in the recent Lok Sabha election, there was some bitterness between both of them over the involvement of JDU in Central ministerial portfolio.
This bitterness further increased when Nitish Kumar disagreed with the Central proposal to end his opposition to criminalise Triple Talaq bill despite the request of BJP. It was this time when the air of strain between both these allies caught fire.
But before this speculation could have weakened the base of the party the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Sushil Modi cleared the air saying that there is no strain between the two parties and we stand together as one.
He further said that the media reports might be arising doubt in the mind of people whether NDA will stay intact or not, but the truth is that the next year Assembly polls will be conducted in Bihar under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.
