1- Bobby Deol was dating actress Neelam Kothari and they appeared in a number of movies together. Although they never admitted their relationship publically, everyone in the Bollywood industry had a clue about their budding romance. There were even rumours that they would get married soon but to everyone’s surprise, Bobby and Neelam split after 5 years of relationship. It was reported that Dharmendra didn’t want his sons to marry an actress.
2- After breaking up with Neelam Kothari, Bobby Deol tied a knot with Tanya Deol on May 30 1996. Tanya was from a business background. The couple gave birth to two sons. Tanya and Bobby are going strong together for 23 years.
3- There were rumours that Bobby Deol was having an extramarital affair with Priya Chatwal which was causing problems in his married life. However, their alleged relationship didn’t last much longer.
Journey to stardom
Born in the family of actors, Bobby was assured of his career in the acting industry and appeared as a child artist in the movie Dharam Veer. Bobby made his commercial acting debut with the movie Barsaat opposite Twinkle Khanna. The movie was a commercial success and Bobby emerged as an overnight star.
In the later years, Bobby Deol appeared in many super hit and blockbuster movies like Gupt: The Hidden Truth, Kareeb and Soldier, which made him a household name in the acting industry. However, his success didn’t last long and critics started doubting on his acting skills after his performance in movies like Bichhoo and Aashiq.
With a couple of hits, he continued to perform badly at the box office and with movies like Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo, Jurm, Tango Charlie, Barsaat and Dosti: Friends Forever, his career seemed to be going downhill.
After being unable to carry a movie on his shoulders, producers started offering him multi-star movies and overtime, his craze in the Bollywood started to fade away. 2- During an interview, Bobby Deol revealed that he was supposed to play the lead in Imtiaz Ali’s movies Jab We Met and Highway but Imtiaz Ali cheated him and cast different actors after reaching out to a production house.
3- After Bobby Deol and Neelam Kothari broke up, there were many rumoured stories of their breakups which included a third person. However, in an interview, Neelam cleared the air that it was a mutual break up and that she would never be happy with Bobby Deol.
