Education and schooling
Sushant Singh Rajput did his initial schooling at St. Karen’s High School, Patna. After the death of his mother, his family relocated to Delhi and he completed his schooling at Kulachi Hansraj Model School, New Delhi. Sushant has always been a bright kid and he secured the seventh rank in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination, which is considered one of the toughest entrance exams in India.
In addition, Sushant also cleared around 10 more engineering entrance exams before enrolling in Bachelors of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering at Delhi Technical University, formerly known as Delhi College of Engineering. However, he dropped out of college after three years to pursue a career in acting. Sushant Singh Rajput is also a National Olympiad Winner in Physics.

Journey to Stardom
While studying at the Delhi Technical University, Sushant enrolled himself at renowned choreographer Shaimak Davar’s dance classes and became one of the lead dancers at the Shaimak Davar Dance Company. He has performed at Filmfare Awards and at the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games as a background dancer. Over time, he also developed an interest in acting.
To make it big in the acting industry, Sushant Singh Rajput decided to drop out of the college in the third year and moved to Mumbai to pursue a full-time career as an actor. He was featured in popular television advertisements and landed a role in Balaji Telefilm’s television series Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. Sushant Singh Rajput gained recognition after playing the lead role in the television drama Pavitra Rishta. He also took part in the dance reality shows, Zara Nachke Dikha 2 and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4 as a participant. Establishing a career in the television industry, he gave up his role in Pavitra Rishta and went on to pursue a film-making course to make it big in Bollywood as well.
In the year 2013, Sushant made his debut in the film industry with drama movie Kai Po Che! based on the best selling novel of Chetan Bhagat, The 3 Mistakes of my Life. In Kai Po Che! Sushant Singh Rajput shared the screen with Rajkummar Rao and Amit Sadh in pivotal roles. The movie emerged as a commercial and critical success and his performance in the movie was highly praised by critics and audience alike.

He next appeared in the romantic drama Shuddh Desi Romance opposite Parineeti Chopra and Vaani Kapoor. The movie collected thrice the budget at the box office and received positive reviews for Sushant’s performance in the film. His cameo and love interest of Anushka Sharma’s character in the blockbuster movie PK garnered him much recognition in the Bollywood Industry.
Sushant Singh Rajput entered the league of industry’s best after playing the character of former Indian cricket team captain M. S. Dhoni in his biopic movie M. S. Dhoni: The Untold Story.
