Rocketry: The Nambi Effect stays stable on the weekdays, the film was opened with a below-par performance at the box office but the business surged further due to positive word of mouth.
It stars R. Madhavan essaying the role of former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan on whose life the film is based. It was released in India on July 1st in six languages English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
Stable on Weekdays
The film is performing very well on the week-2 weekdays, on Mon (Day 11), it earned Rs 1.10 Cr which was quite close to that of first Friday (Rs 1.25 Cr), staying stable on Tue and Wed, it minted Rs 96L** and Rs 90 L** respectively.

Recently critic Sridhar Pillai confirmed that Maddy’s film has reached Rs 26.5 Cr in just 10 days, now going by this, the film is heading for a strong Rs 30 Cr nett mark in Hindi which it will cross on Day 14 (Thu). It is a huge feat for a film that saw low opening figures, however, the word of mouth was positive for the film which kept it in contention. And as a result, the film is holding well even in the second week.

Box Office Collection Day 14
It is expected from Madhavan’s film that it will see a lifetime in the range of Rs 35-40 Cr. And well the film is on its way to cross it, as it will have a run for one week more given the performance of it during the week-2 weekdays.
There was no effect on the performance of the film despite locking horns with Thor and new releases Hindi film, even Eid festivities didn’t help the film like Thor 4 and Khuda Haafiz-2. But still, Rocketry takes off, going by the trends, it will hold well on the weekdays and will witness a boost over the 2nd weekend which will help it to reach near Rs 40 Cr Mark.
As per the estimation, Rocketry earns in the range of Rs 50 to 75 Lakhs** to take the total Hindi collections over Rs 30 Cr.
