Indian Women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur will now be questioned by BCCI president Roger Binny and NCA head VVS Laxman. Harmanpreet lost her temper during the final of the ODI match against Bangladesh.
The 34-year-old Indian Women’s team Captain was also fined by the ICC. The International Cricket Council deducted a hefty amount from Kaur’s salary for misbehaving with the umpire.
ICC deducted 75 percent of her match fee and added 3 demerit points to her record for showing her displeasure furiously on the field during the third and final ODI against Bangladesh.

Why Harmanpreet got angry at Umpire?
Harmanpreet had a heated argument with umpire Tanvir Ahmed for giving her an LBW because she felt she nicked the ball before it went on to hit the pad. After the post-match interview, the player made some crucial remarks about the umpire.
Harmanpreet called out the umpires even during the photo session, and she said, “Why are you here alone? Bring the umpires too. You haven’t tied the match. The umpires did it for you. Call them up. We better have a photo with them as well,” to Nigar Sultana Joty, who is the Captain of the Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team.
Smriti Mandhana supported Harmanpreet Kaur
After the incident, Harmanpreet is getting criticism, but some people are also supporting her. In the press conference after the interview, Smriti Mandhana also criticized the umpiring decisions and said there is a need for neutral umpiring in future matches.
In support of Harmanpreet, Smriti said, “I wouldn’t say it is acceptable. But when you really want to win for India, these things happen.”

The Bangladeshi Captain, Nigar, also reacted to Harmanpreet’s behavior. Sultana said, “It is totally her problem, and I have nothing to do with it.” Sultana also said she could have shown better manners, and the umpires wouldn’t give her out if she wasn’t out. We had umpires from men’s international cricket, so they were good umpires, Sultana added.

Harmanpreet gets Rs. 6 lahks as salary for an ODI tour and will be fined by the ICC for two incidents: 50 percent for hitting the stumps with her bat after she was given out by the umpires. The rest of the 25 percent for her outburst on the umpire for giving her LBW in the 34th over.
So it can be assumed that her salary per match is around Rs. 2 lakhs and almost Rs. 1.5 lakh will be deducted from her salary as a fine.
