The ICC Women’s Under-19 World Cup has finally ended and Team India has been crowned the new world champion. India and England were the two teams that made it to the final, and on January 29, 2023, both teams successfully contested for the trophy.
The Under-19 Women’s Indian Team made history in South Africa by winning the ICC Women’s U-19 T20 World Cup for the first time. Team India put on a fantastic performance, and they gave the English team a tough time.
In the final, Shafali Verma and her team of courageous souls left England reeling after bowling them out for a pitiful 68 and then chasing the target down in 14 overs while only losing three wickets.
The International Cricket Council has started the ICC Under-19 women’s T20 world cup 2023. The first ever ICC Under 19 Women’s Cricket World Cup is being held in South Africa from the 14th to the 29th of January. A total of 16 teams will be participating in the tournament.
As teams first participated in warm-up matches between January 9 and January 11 in the cities of Johannesburg and Tshwane. The teams arrived in South Africa in the first few days of the new year’s week.
The historic U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2023, is took place in Benoni and Potchefstroom in South Africa. The teams played 41 games, over the course of 15 days.

Women’s U19 T20 World Cup Final Schedule
The ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup Began on January 14, with most matches beginning between 1:30 p.m. (IST) and 5:15 p.m. (IST). Both the semifinals played on the same day on January 27th, 2023, and the final was held on January 29th, 2023.
The first semi-final was played between India and New Zealand at JB Marks Oval stadium. Team India performed exceptionally well in the semi-final and won the match by 8 wickets. The second semi-final was played between England and Australia at JB Marks Oval. England won the semi-final 3 Runs.
On 29th January at JB Marks Oval stadium, the under 19 T20 World Cup final match was between Team India and England. Team India won the final with 7 Wickets.

Groups For ICC Women’s Under 19 T20 World Cup 2023
Four groups were created from the 16 teams, which included 11 full ICC members and 5 associate teams. The top three clubs from each group will move on to the Super Six League round, where Group A teams will battle against Group D teams and Group B teams will face off against Group C teams.
