India T20 Squad for West Indies 2023: Captain, Wicketkeeper, Schedule & Stats

The Board of Cricket Council of India (BCCI) has announced the Indian squad for India’s match against the West Indies. Earlier, it was expected that Rinku Singh, the Kolkata Knight Riders star player in IPL 2023, would be making his T20 debut during the West Indies tour, but nothing like that happened.

Apart from that BCCI has already announced the squad for West Indies Tour in ODI & Test format. After the poor performance against Australia in London, BCCI has done several changes to the West Indies tour.

Major Changes in India T20 Squad for West Indies 2023

While Rinku Singh was not included in the team, Mumbai Indians batter Tilak Varma got his maiden call-up to the Indian team. Apart from Tilak Verma, leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi also made a comeback in the team.

Most people were expecting that Rinku Singh would be involved in the team, but the BCCI did not include him in the team. Also, players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been dropped from the team. These changes by the newly elected Chairman of the Selection Committee, Ajit Agarkar, have surprised everyone.

The Board of Cricket Council of India (BCCI) has released the list of players who will be playing against the West Indies in the T20 format. Hardik Pandya will be the Captain of the team. Also, the ODI Captain, Rohit Sharma, has been dropped from the T20 squad. Now Suryakumar Yadav will be the Vice Captain of the Indian Squad for T2OIs.
