India Vs Sri Lanka ICC World Cup 2019

India Vs Sri Lanka ICC World Cup 2019: India will take on Sri Lanka in their last group match in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 at Headingley Carnegie in Leeds today at 3 pm IST.

Lead by Virat Kohli, Team India has played some very good cricket to make it to the semis along with big teams like Australia, New Zealand and the mighty host England.

Kohli’s team will take on Sri Lanka in their last group match in the ongoing world cup. Team India may have won 7 out of their 9 matches in this tournament, but their middle order continues to struggle. 50% of the total runs have been scored by top three batsmen including Virat and Rohit.

Virat and Shastri have failed to find an ideal team no. 4 batsmen. Rahul looked the best bet but he has to open the inning with Rohit when Dhawan gets ruled out. Vijay Shankar also failed to make much impact and now the onus is on Pant to prove himself.

Sri Lanka had an unforgettable world cup.  While they look forward to leave a mark in their last match, team India will look to find an ideal team combination.

India can also look to bring Ravindra Jadeja into playing 11 in place of Dinesh Kartik/Kedar Jadhav. Inclusion of Jadeja in the team assures that Kohli has an extra bowling option. Jadeja can hit the ball hard on his day and he is an exceptional fielder too.
