Andy Flower (Head Coach): Former Zimbabwean cricket player and coach Andy Flower will lead the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in 2023. He kept wickets for Zimbabwe for more than ten years and is statistically the best batsman the nation has ever produced.
Flower coached the English cricket team from 2009 to 2014 following his retirement. He now serves as the Indian Premier League’s head coach of the Lucknow Super Giants. Additionally, he serves as the Multan Sultans and St. Lucia Kings’ head coach.
He was the first ever Zimbabwean to be inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame when he received the honour in June 2021.
Vijay Dahiya (Assistant Coach): The former Indian wicketkeeper will serve as LSG’s assistant coach in the 2023 IPL. He currently serves as the cricket team’s coach for Uttar Pradesh.
Right-handed batsman and wicketkeeper Dahiya began competing for Delhi in first-class cricket in the 1993–94 season. Vijay Dahiya debuted for his country in the 2000–01 series against Zimbabwe.
He was hired in December 2019 to serve as the Delhi Capitals‘ IPL team’s head talent scout. Dahiya joined the Lucknow Super Giants in December 2021 as assistant coach and has remained a member of the team ever since (LSG).
Andy Bichel (Bowling Coach): The Lucknow Super Giants’ bowling coach for the IPL 2023 season will be former Australian cricketer Bichel. Bichel was a powerful lower-order batsman in addition to being a right-arm medium-fast bowler.
The 2010 IPL Champions, Chennai Super Kings, hired Andy Bichel as a bowling coach for the team’s young players for the 2011 season. Later, he was appointed coach of Papua New Guinea.
It was announced on November 11th, 2011 that Andy Bichel would be joining the Cricket Australia selection committee.
Richard Halsall (Fielding Coach): Richard Halsall, a former Zimbabwean cricketer, has been appointed fielding coach for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the 2023 IPL season. Halsall bowled right-arm fast medium and batted with his right hand.
Halsall was hired as the England cricket team’s first full-time fielding coach in 2007. He then took on the role of fielding coach for the Bangladesh national cricket team for the following two years.
He previously collaborated with Andy Flower as the fielding coach of the Multan Sultans in the PSL, and with the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2022.
