The annual track and field meet competition, The Paavo Nurmi Games 2022 is taking place at Paavo Nurmi Stadium in Finland (Turku). The competition is a part of the World Athletics Continental Tour 2022.
After the Diamond League (Elite track and field annual series), the continental tour is one of the biggest track and field competitions. The tour is divided into 3 levels (Gold, Silver, and Bronze).
The Paavo Nurmi Games are the gold meetings in the continental tour, which are organized globally. And the Indian javelin superstar Neeraj Chopra is the only Indian competing at the Paavo Nurmi Games 2022.

Talking about Neeraj, he won the gold medal at Tokyo Olympics in 2022, the 24 yrs old athlete will be returning to the field after almost 10 months.
He will be facing off against the likes of Anderson Peters (Grenada), Jakub Vadlejch (Czech Republic), and Keshron Walcott (Trinidad and Tobago). After Nurmi Games, Neeraj will take part in the Kuortane games in Finland, and then will head for Sweden for Diamond League.
