The 26-year-old Sejal Sharma reportedly committed suicide on 24 January 2020 at her Mira Road flat in Mumbai. The actress was suffering from depression after her TV show ended abruptly.
Sejal Sharma, originally from Udaipur, Rajasthan had come to Mumbai with the dream of becoming a successful actress one day. The innocent girl with vivid dreams died young as she committed suicide hanging the ceiling fan. Her dead body was discovered this morning at her rented apartment on the second floor of Royal Nest Housing Society, Shivar Garden, Mira Road.
Apparently, she hung herself last night but her family members were informed this morning. The police also found a suicide note along with the body that states that Sejal doesn’t hold anyone responsible for her death.
The ‘Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji’ actress was spotted in a few TV commercials with Aamir Khan and Hardik Pandya before her debut TV show ‘Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji’. Her show where she played the role of Simmi Khosla, the adopted sister of the lead star began in January 2019 ended abruptly in August 2019. Since then the actress was looking for work while struggling with depression.
The Mumbai Police is currently investing the cause of her death which seemingly looks like a failed relationship or career issue.
Sejal’s ‘Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji’ co-star Aru K Verma said, “Yes, this is true. I am shocked to hear the news. It’s very difficult for me to believe since I met her just 10 days ago, and we even chatted on WhatsApp on Sunday. I am unable to come to terms with the news. When I met her 10 days back, she was absolutely fine.”
Her co-stars from ‘Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji’ have expressed their sorrow and condolences to the grieving family on social networking sites. Sejal’s fans to grieving her early death on Twitter as they talk about depression and the societal pressure that took her life.

Sejal’s dead body has been taken to the Pandit Bhimsen Joshi government hospital in Bhayander for postpartum. The Mumbai Police are waiting for her parents to arrive.
