The crime branch of Delhi Police is going to file charge-sheet soon in much talked about Rohit Shekhar murder case. Most probably it may be filed within a day or two.
According to our sources that the investigating team is likely to name Apoorva Shukla, the wife of Rohit Shekhar, as the prime accused in its charge sheet.
Apoorva (35) is facing charges of murder of her husband and the son of former central minister N.D. Tiwari. Rohit Shekhar was found dead in his bedroom on 16 April this year at his Defence Colony residence in New Delhi.
Initial investigation of this murder had pointed a hand of his wife Apoorva Shukla. And after that, she was arrested by the crime branch of Delhi Police on 24 April. At present, she is detained in Tihar Jail.
As per media reports, Apoorva suspected Rohit of having an extramarital affair with a lady in his relationship and he had even a child out of this illicit relationship. Apoorva apprehended that a big share of his property might go to the child of Rohit in the future.
Sources also say that Apoorva had strained relations with her husband and their differences went to such an extent that only a few days after her marriage, she had preferred to go back to her parental house. Although she had come back after a few days stay there. The CCTV footage together with forensic and circumstantial pieces of evidence make a strong point to prove her involvement in the murder.
