Uttarakhand Judge Dismissed on the Charges of Corruption

Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate of Udham Singh Nagar’s Kashipur Anuradha Garg has been dismissed from service on charges of corruption.

She had very serious charges of graft and corruption against her and an inquiry was being conducted in those cases. A letter of her dismissal was issued on Thursday after the confirmation of her involvement in all those cases of corruption.

The state govt. took this action following a recommendation to this effect was received from the Nainital High court. This is the first case of dismissal of any judge in Uttarakhand.

Anuradha, a judicial officer of 2005 batch, was under suspension since 2015. In a confidential inquiry, all the charges leveled against her were found true.

The Chief Justice of the High Court had ordered an inquiry into the charges of corruption against her. The registrar of the High Court (Judicial) Narendra Dutt was appointed the inquiry officer. After the report corroborating the allegations, the full bench of the High Court had sent a recommendation of her dismissal to the state government.
