I am not dead is the statement of famous Canadian rapper and influencer Lily Tay who was claimed to be dead at the age of 14, along with her brother. This unfortunate news shook the internet, and now Tay’s family released a statement on behalf of her which stated her account was hacked.

Tay started gaining popularity in 2018 when she was just 9 years old. She started gaining people’s attention when she started uploading videos of people riding in luxury cars and giving tours of extravagant homes.

Tay had over 3 million Instagram followers and was often chastised for her foul-mouthed manner, extravagant displays of money, and associations with the Crips gang.

Tay was born on July 29, 2007, in Vancouver, Canada, as Tay Tian. Her childhood was normal, as, like other kids, she enjoyed dancing and participated in various dance competitions. Apart from that, she was also learning Chinese, singing, and piano.

Lil Tay, or Tay Tian, was the daughter of Angela Tian and Chris Hope. She also had a brother named Jason Tian, and if reports are to be believed, he was also involved with his mother in making Lil Tay’s online persona successful.

Tay’s family provided a statement to TMZ on behalf of her in which she said, “I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive, but I’m completely heartbroken, and I’m struggling to even find the right words to say.”

Tay added that the past 24 hours have been very traumatic for her and her family. She also said while attempting to resolve this problem, she received tearful and sorrowful phone calls from loved ones yesterday.

She continues, “My Instagram account was hacked by a third party and exploited to propagate alarming rumors and false information about me, to the point where even my name was incorrect. The name “Claire Hope” is not my real name; it is Tay Tian.
