Sandalwood actor Rakshit Shetty starrer Kannada adventure comedy drama film titled 777 Charlie has already had its OTT release in Kannada, after having a successful theatre run whereas the Tamil, Telugu and other dubbed versions are yet to be released on OTT.
The film directed and written by Kiranraj K., Stars Shetty as Dharma, a factory worker and a Labrador retriever dog Charlie as Charlie. The film received all hearts and appreciation, especially for the performances of the lead actor as well as the adorable four-legged star Charlie.
Along with these two, the film also stars Sangeetha Sringeri, Raj B. Shetty, Danish Sait, Sharvari, Bobby Simha, H.G. Somasekhar Rao, Bhargavi Narayan and director Kiranraj K. himself (cameo appearance).

Produced by male lead Rakshit Shetty along with G.S. Gupta under the banner of Paramvah Studios, was theatrically released on June 10, 2022 worldwide in dubbed Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam dubbed versions along with Kannada (original) version. Before that, it had a limited theatre release on June 2, 2022.
The demand for the OTT version of the film is really high, as there are many people who couldn’t make it to the theatres for some reasons. While Kannada audiences didn’t need to wait much for the film’s streaming, as the film has started streaming in Kannada from July 29, 2022 on Voot Select.
Now Amazon Prime Video surprise the audiences with this update, streaming for rent from 30th of Sep:

777 Charlie Plot
The film has a heartwarming and beautiful story of the relationship between a man Dharma, who is a factory worker and a female Labrador retriever Charlie. Dharma is a loner who doesn’t talk much with anyone and doesn’t believe in socialising with people.
His daily routine is to go to the factory, work hard, return home, smoke and drink beer. This is the cycle he repeats everyday. The film shows how Dharma’s life changed when Charlie came into his life and changed him completely to become a good human being.

777 Charlie earned a massive amount at box-office and grossed around Rs. 20 crore on the opening weekend. It became the fourth highest grossing Kannada movie of all time and the third highest grossing Kannada movie of 2022 following K.G.F: Chapter 2 and James.
The film is said to have made a budget of Rs. 20 crore and crossed the mark of Rs. 100 crore in its theatre run. By the end of the 30 days of its release, the film’s Telugu and Tamil versions grossed Rs. 4 crore each with Rs. 5.5 crore and Rs. 7 crore from the Malayalam and Hindi versions, respectively.
