Setbacks
As we know that there are already two blockbuster films, RRR and Agnihotri’s TKF continuing to wreak havoc at the box office, with this John’s film locked horns with the much-anticipated Hollywood action flick Morbius. Therefore the road to success for Lashya Raj Anand’s diercotrial seems impossible.
Reviews
The early reviews for the film are out and it received mixed to negative responses mostly negative, TOI gave the film 3.5 out of 5 stars, filmi beat 2.5 out of 5, TOI 3.5 out of 5 stars, India Today 3/5, Taran Adarsh from BH 3/5, NDTV 2.5/5, IE 2.5/5 and the entertainment portal Koimoi gave the film 2 out of 5 they bashed the story and the narration of the film.
Advance Ticket Bookings Collection
While the trailer got an amazing response from the movie-lovers, it didn’t showcase in the film’s advance ticket booking collections, the film had collected only around Rs 70-80 lakhs.
John’s Attack faced a struggle at the box office owing to both films RRR and The Kashmir Files which are in the beast mode at the BO currently and the effect of it was seen on the Attack’s business.
Box Office Collection Day 1
The only good thing for the John starrer is that the distributor of The RRR and The Attack are the same, Jayantilal Gada, so we expect that he
would’ve distributed the film wisely.
Talking about the opening day BO collection, Attack proved to be a disastrous opener at the box office, early trends suggest that it accumulated Rs 3.51 Crs on day 1 (Friday) which is far less given that John Abraham is a big name in the Hindi cinema industry, the collections should have been the other way round.
The film performed low at the mass circuits due to RRR mania, and it didn’t fetch a good response from the metros either. The only thing that could save John’s action flick is positive word of mouth, let’s see how the film performs further at the box office.
