The sci-fi action flick John starrer Attack had opened up with low numbers at the box office, the moviegoers are not reaching in the numbers which the action star John had expected from them, recent reports also suggest that the film had a dull weekend too.
Lakshya Raj Anand directorial Attack stars John as India’s first super soldier named Arjun Shergill, Kick actress Jacqueline Fernandez and Yaariyan fame Rakul Preet Singh, seen in the film essaying the lead actress role opposite John. Anand apart from the direction also co-wrote the screenplay of the film with Sumit Batheja and Vishal Kapoor. John being the main lead also serves as one of the co-producers.
However, the film after being panned by the critics opened with low numbers at the box office, it minted only Rs 3.51 Cr which was far less than, what even the trade analyst had expected.
The reason could be the RRR mania and the all-time historical blockbuster film The Kashmir Files which are still sweeping the box office. Forget the single screens the film didn’t get a good response even from the multiplexes.
On Saturday the film saw a little growth compare to Friday, raked in Rs 3.75 Cr at the BO India with it the total collection of the film reaches Rs 7.25 Cr.
Now, Attack shows a growth of Rs 50 lakhs again as compared to the Saturday collection, on Sunday. It minted Rs 4.25 Cr on Sunday, thereby the total box office collection of the film reaches Rs 11.51 Cr nett.
The latter figures would have the opening day box office collection of the John starrer, hadn’t the RRR and TKF mania swept the BO.

John’s film has performed very low than expected, the film had a disastrous opening weekend, the word of mouth for the film seems negative this could be the reason why the film failed to convert the low opening into a positive opening weekend.
